An Wine received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from James Madison University in 1991. With a concentration in printmaking, she has been working for a commercial magazine printer for the past nine years. Recently, she took the leap and left the printing industry to open a home repair business with her partner Jessica Lopez-King. Since college, she has been doing oil paintings on wood and sometimes incorporates found objects. Because her best work comes from past experiences, she typically works with themes in order to push her own ideas of the subject matter into new creative realms that also will challenge the observer. She left the corporate world in order to allow herself the flexibility to paint on a more regular basis, and would welcome contacts with other artists in the area. anw@shentel.net |
